Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō 1 (ドラマCD ヨコハマ買い出し紀行 Drama CD Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō) is an audio drama first released by Aniplex in 1996. It was first broadcast on the Shiina Hekiru’s radio show “SHINE IN NAKED” from December 1995 until January 1996[1]. A second part was released a year later. This also marks the first time the series was adapted to another media.

This first CD adapts the entire first volume of the manga. The soundtrack feature several songs by the japanese duo Gontiti, including three new original songs made for the drama[2].

Trivia

  • Kokone and Dr. Koumi’ishi names aren't featured on promotional material, instead they are named as 少女 ("Girl") and 女医 ("Female Doctor")[5].
    • During an introduction corner featured on the show, Dr. Koumi’ishi was named as 先生 ("Doctor") like in the manga.[6]
  • Shiina, Nakagawa and Sugita would later reprise their roles in every drama and anime adaptations made so far in the series.
    • Terashima and Suyama were also present on the second drama CD and the first OVA, being replaced on the others adaptations.
  • Nakagawa Akiko also voiced a minor character in the sixth track but wasn't credited for it[6].
