Alpha briefly peers out of a window while sitting at one of the tables in her café, before fixating her gaze on a pistol in her hands. She then sighs and moves her gaze to a framed note that was left pinned to her door by someone she seems to know. Her thoughts are interrupted by Ojisan entering the café and greeting her, before he takes a seat. Alpha takes her place behind the counter in order to make Ojisan a coffee, while Ojisan makes small talk about the gun on the table he is now sitting at. Alpha reveals that it was a gift from owner, and she doesn't particularly see it as a weapon, but rather a treasure.
The chapter starts with Alpha picking up a broom from some sort of vendor. As she sets off on her scooter, broom in tow, it begins to rain and she reflects on how the weather refused to cooperate with her even for a moment. Suddenly, in a brilliant flash of light, her broom is struck by a flash of lightning which knocks her off her scooter, and she lay on the ground in the rain.  


In the next panels, the story cuts to Ojisan sitting outside on the café's patio staring at the evening sky, while Alpha brings the two of them more coffee. After a bit more chatting Alpha goes to get her gekkin, and just as she is about to start playing Takahiro shows up. The remainder of the chapter consists of Alpha playing her gekkin, while Ojisan ponders about how often he forgets that Alpha is not human.
Ojisan hears the nearby lightning strike and goes to investigate. After finding Alpha, he takes her to his lifelong friend Koumi'ishi, who is a doctor of sorts. After an examination, Sensei confirms to Ojisan that the lightning had only passed over her skin, and that she will be fine after a few days in her care. This chapter takes place within and around Café Alpha. The first portion of the chapter takes place within the café, while the second portion takes place outside on the café's patio. There is a panel where Alpha appears to be in the field next to the café and another panel where she appears to be sitting on a telephone pole surrounded by sea, but it is unlikely that she is physically at those locations while playing her gekkin.

Summary

Endless Neighborhood Association Meeting (Japanese: エンドレス町内会) is the fifth chapter of the first volume of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. In the Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou Manga Scanlations version of the chapter, it is titled "Endless Neighborhood Meeting." Volume 1, chapter 5 is one of the chapters that contain source material for Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (OVA). In this chapter, readers meet Koumi'ishi Alpha for the first time. Readers learn she is a doctor, and has performed on androids in the past. Readers also learn that originally Alpha's tear ducts were made to only moisten her eyes, but that she is now capable of producing tears.

The chapter starts with Alpha picking up a broom from some sort of vendor.
